The Station House at 88 High Street is an elegant 1930’s Villa. It has been the lodging place for police and their families until 2016.
The Station House features 2 luxurious, independent appartments with beautifully handcrafted furniture.
The Station House is a short 5 Minute stroll from Sheffield’s shops, restaurants, cafes and famous Murals. It is located along a very picturesque 40 minute walking track around Sheffield show casing Mt Roland and surrounding Mountain Ranges.
Cradle Mountain is a 50 minute drive. Tasmazia and Lake Barrington with its international Rowing Course are a 10 minute drive, the Mainland Ferry or Devonport Airport, are a 35 minute drive away.
There are numerous walks, wineries and other attractions in the area. Sheffield is the town of Murals and has excellent Cafes and Restaurants.
It’s a great place to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of Tasmania.
Shona and Adam purchased the Station House in 2024
They have spent most of their working lives travelling all corners of the globe and have finally found their perfect place in Tasmania.
Sheffield is not only a hive of activity but also surrounded by stunning nature with Mt Roland standing out. You can leave your car at the Station House and explore Sheffield with it’s many quirky shops, Cafes and Restaurants or the local Museum. The Visitor Centre is very informative and has an art gallery included and Mural Park is adjacent to it. Mural Fest is an annual world renown week long festival usually held at Easter time. The resulting Murals are featured throughout the year.
