Wren's Retreat is ideally located one street back from the Beach in a scrub setting. This location offers sunset walks, local restaurants, cafes and bars. Wren's Retreat is moments to the Aldinga Beach Conservation Park where flora and fauna is prolific. A short drive to the McLaren Vale wine growing region, or you can hire Kayaks and explore the Myponga Reservoir. A nearby airstrip offers joy flights or just a coffee and cake whilst you watch the biplanes taxi the runway . The Fleurieu Peninsula is at your doorstep. Wren's Retreat is a romantic getaway, a nostalgic shack experience. We offer wifi and air conditioning. The appeal is the relaxing setup of verandahs, bird watching, scrub walks and sunsets. Please note that there is a home build next door scheduled to commence Oct 2025.
Wrens Retreat is a thoughtfully restored mid century beach house. It has been in our family for many years. We have always enjoyed our holidays there and we want to share this opportunity with other couples and families.
Wren's Retreat is located within the geographical area known as "The Scrub". This neighborhood is an historic fishing shack and holiday house village area. As people discover its delights, there are the inevitable building of newer dwellings. Please support us by staying at Wren's Retreat where preservation, conservation, replanting, reuse and recycle and eco products are the norm. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the nearby Scrub Conservation Park. Echidnas live there. Fishing is not permitted in the Marine Conservation Park. Fish live there. The Local Council has signage to let you know where these zones are. This is Australia - please be snake aware. Wrens Retreat is pet free.
