The ”Casa do Artista” is a pleasant and cozy house, which sits by a river and is surrounded by Nature. The house has its name in honor of a very prolific Artist who resided there. It is located at the Lumiar, the most charming district of Nova Friburgo City, in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nova Friburgo is a very particular City, because even though it is in Rio de Janeiro, which is a warm City, it has a very mild climate, created by the altitude of, more or less, 1000 meters above sea level, located in the middle of the Atlantic forest.
We, the hosts, have been living in Lumiar for more than 20 years, attracted by all the enchantments that this region has to offer… We, also, produce order made special handmade bread and cakes, whole wheat and white. Come to visit Lumiar and be enchanted like we have...
Lumiar offers many, indoor and outdoor, leisure options, as the beautiful waterfalls, many places for hiking and biking, restaurants, stores with local products, etc… There are, also, many events like the traditional folkloric fest of “Festas Juninas”, which happens during the months of June and July, and are very famous attracting a lot of tourists. The HOUSE is well situated, at more or less 1 km from the central point of the de City where most of the attractions and activities happen.
