Globetrotters B&B is a licensed property (NOTL 007/2022) about a 20-minute stroll from Queen Street shops, restaurants, theatres and attractions. The popular Old Winery Restaurant and award-winning Jackson-Triggs Winery are just a 6- to 10-minute walk away. Three uniquely themed guest quarters feature private state-of-the-art ensuite washrooms and queen-size beds draped in fine cotton high thread count linens. The very spacious Moulin Rouge and Sultan's Tent suites are located on the second floor (ages 8+ only please and must be accompanied by adult 21 years or older). The smaller Crystal Palace (10x11 feet plus ensuite) is on the main floor and ideal for solo travellers or guests who cannot manage stairs. (Please note that this room has limited storage for luggage so if you are travelling with large suitcases, you may be more comfortable in one of our upstairs suites.) Rates include Fernando's world-famous breakfast creations, which are served daily in our bright breakfast room or, weather permitting, outdoors in our garden gazebo or covered gallery. G5 Wi-Fi service and on-site parking are also included. Guests are always welcome to relax with a complimentary cup of tea or coffee in the library, in front of the fireplace in our great room or outdoors on our covered verandah, in the garden gazebo or on the new, spacious front yard patio. SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING DIETARY RESTRICTIONS/PREFERENCES: Please note guests with special dietary preferences/restrictions (lactose intolerant, glucose-free, diets, etc.) may be assessed a surcharge per person per day. This does not apply to diabetics. Please feel free to call us before you book to discuss your particular situation if you are in doubt.
Fernando and Donna welcomed guests to their B&B since June 2002. They love meeting people from around the world and offering advice on where to go, where to eat, what to see and where to shop in the Niagara area. So go ahead and ask us anything. Fernando is famous for his amazing breakfast creations and home-baked croissants. Guests also enjoy the various artwork and artifacts on display and collected from around the world.
Historic Niagara-on-the-Lake is home to the world-renowned annual Shaw Festival, which features professional live stage performances twice daily (except Mondays) from April to December at three theatres in town. Our historic town was the first capital of Upper Canada (now Ontario) and Niagara was centre stage for the War of 1812. As a result, there are plenty of historic venues to visit: Fort George, Fort Mississauga, Laura Secord Homestead, Mackenzie Printery and Museum--in fact, the whole town is a museum of Victorian architecture complete with an original apothecary. Our town is also among the most active paranormal sites in Canada so you may meet a few on one of the popular ghost tours through town. We're also surrounded by award-winning vineyards and we're happy to direct you to the best in the Niagara area. Beer lovers will want to try out our local brews. There are also JetBoat tours up the Niagara River, kayaking on the Niagara River, a chocolate factory, a lavender farm and boutique, cycling trails, golf courses, spas, tennis courts, a Butterfly Conservatory, Botanical Gardens, and, of course, the famous Niagara Falls and Hornblower Cruises just 30 minutes away.
