Le petit déjeuner était sublime. Les propriétaires étaient merveilleux, chaleureux et très accueillant. Ma mère est décédée et le ci-propriétaire m’a dit une phrase qui m’aide à traverser mon deuil. Un grand merci à lui. Xxx

LA maison de l'île is a good place to eat. Yes, there is a swimming pool, a view of the river, a comfortable bed and a magnificent bathroom, but we come here above all for the discovery lunch. You have to be ready for this adventure, because the chef prepares everything with ingredients from the island to the rhythm of the harvest. You will not know in advance what you are going to eat. The gourmet lunch includes 4 courses. He is neither vegan nor vegetarian. It is aimed specifically at gourmets, gourmands. To all those who believe that on vacation, it is important to take the time to eat. Our century-old residence is listed as part of the island's cultural heritage. It is located in one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec: St-Jean de l'île d'Orléans. To welcome you there is also Tempête -- a beautiful and adorable Corsican shepherd -- and Spartacat -- a cat who is just passing through. The house, British style, offers a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River. For 120 years, it has been dedicated to summer holidays. With my lifelong companion, Yves, we have, while retaining its traditional character, transformed the house into a B&B or rather Bed & Brunch. We have been living there full time since our return from Guadeloupe. You will meet us there, here and there, in the garden, at the swimming pool, in the kitchen. Your room has a private bathroom, a smart television, a high-speed wifi structure, a mechanized queen bed with a memory foam mattress and four large windows, one of which has a view of the Saint River. -Laurent. . The next morning, a discovery gourmet lunch concocted by chef Yves. Our choice of menu is inspired by the great starred chefs of the planet. We, your hosts, make every effort to respect the golden rules of hospitality: to do our best so that you can eat, relax and have fun. See you soon !
In 2019, after having lived for 11 years on the island of Terre de Haut in Guadeloupe, Sylvie inherited the bastide. Sylvie and Yves came back with Tempête and Spartacat -- an super nice dog and a very independent cat. Third generation of female owners (Juliette, Suzanne, Sylvie) of this magnificent residence, affectionately named "La maison de l'île". As they did together in Guadeloupe, just like Sylvie as night manager at the reception of the Méridien hotel in Montreal and Yves as manager of the Auberge de Jouvence in Magog: they welcome visitors from Quebec and Besides.
You could not hope for a more pleasant place for a stay of rest and discovery. In the countryside on an island that offers delicious products, which is beautiful all around. Not only are you in the heart of Île d'Orléans, but St-Jean is one of the prettiest villages in Quebec, with its houses, businesses and shoreline. By night, as by day, the place is calm and offers a breathtaking view of the river and its boats (nearly 20 per day). The Mitan crosses the island from north to south, a very pleasant route to do both by car, by bike, and on foot. 15 minutes from the island bridge, you can go to the magnificent city of Quebec or discover the Charlevoix region.
