Near Tresa, halfway between Lake Maggiore and Lake Lugano, in a quiet residential hillside area, CASA ORTENSIA is the ideal accommodation for those seeking a relaxing stay immersed in nature, yet close to the main attractions of Ticino, Lombardy, and Piedmont. The apartment features a spacious living area, well divided into a lounge with a comfortable leather double sofa bed, a large dining area, and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen—perfect for preparing tasty meals independently (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared, we think it is proper to use the sofa during non-sleeping hours. You will find sheets, pillows and blankets in the closet/shelf most adjacent to the sofa). The large French door opens onto the patio and private garden, ideal for outdoor living and enjoying the mild summer climate. The warm and authentic atmosphere is enhanced by rustic finishes and tasteful furnishings, with elegant wooden and terracotta details. Upstairs, the two bedrooms—one double and one with bunk beds—are spacious, tastefully furnished, and both have access to a large terrace overlooking the surrounding greenery. Completing the property are two classic-style bathrooms: one guest toilet and one main bathroom equipped with both a bathtub and a shower. Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast. The apartment includes an uncovered private parking space in the shared residential area. Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment. Guests have the access of the whole apartment.

In about 15–20 minutes by car, you can reach Luino and Maccagno, two charming towns on the shores of Lake Maggiore, ideal for a day of relaxation with swimming, water sports, and lakeside strolls. Just 25 minutes away is Lugano, with its elegant historic center, boutiques, and parks. For art and nature lovers, don’t miss Parco Ciani, the MASI (Art Museum of Italian Switzerland), and the climb to Monte Brè or Monte San Salvatore, with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
