    The view is amazing, although your car has to work for it😁 The beds are super comfortable, the house is spacious and clean. Kitchen has a lot of utensils and cooking necessities (like salt, pepper, oil, kitchen towels), but also a coffee maker....

The house is one of the oldest houses in the village with a long and varied history. We own the second floor and the attic as well as a large cellar. For aesthetic reasons the outside of the building has remained untouched but inside it has been fully modernised. A somewhat tired interior of varnished wood has been replaced with a sharp mixture of plaster using a range of modern techniques. As part of the renovation the outer walls have been heavily insulated and the heating system replaced by the latest Air Exchange technology
We are friendly and professional people and have 2 apartments to rent. We enjoy meeting new people and travelling. Always happy to help make your stay as comfortable as possible! We have lived in both Switzerland and England for many years & speak English & German fluently. Both apartments are in unique locations which we have fallen in love with! We love to share this with our guests. Our hobbies are travelling, skiing, cooking and playing games.
Perched on a terrace above the valley; Ried-Mörel is a small but vibrant village of 350 people. Originally these were the winter homes of farming families who cultivated the very rich soils of the hillside whilst grazing their animals in the Alps above. It still is a farming community with meadows right up to the house and fruit trees everywhere. The village has many young families, the children of which can safely play in the road such is the low volume of traffic. There is a shop and a bank as well as a local Café. From the village a cable car runs up to Riederalp and down to the railway station in Mörel below. Of particular interest are the traditional storage houses on their mushroom pillars to keep the mice out of the grain! Getting there EasyJet, Swiss and BA all fly to Geneva and Zurich. From the airport there are hourly direct trains to the local town of Brig with a journey time of 2-3 hours. From Brig a local train connects with the gondola to the village. What better way to arrive in a ski resort than stepping out of your lift in the village itself? For those with a car you can drive right to the door and park nearby. If however you are not too happy to drive along a mountain road with a drop on one side you can park in the valley in Mörel and take the lift up
