**In alignment with public health recommendations, Special Places managed properties are taking measures which include enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures** La Carolina 6 in Brasilito is a budget 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo that sleeps four, with a queen bed in each room. A 15-minute walk from the town and beach of Playa Brasilito, La Carolina 6 is a good option for a small family or a pair of couples looking to spend most of their money on something besides lodging. The apartment has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer and cable TV. The fully equipped kitchen has black granite counters and attractive wooden cabinets, and there’s a dining table as well as a breakfast bar. Interiors are brightly painted in yellow and beige hues, with tropical prints on the walls. You won’t see the ocean from this ground-floor unit, but windows open on abundant greenery and colorful flowers. And the ocean is just down the road. Outside there’s a boomerang-shaped pool, barbecue, tables, chairs and a hammock, surrounded by palm trees and gardens. Flamingo Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo. Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stories, banks and other conveniences. Construction began in December 2019 on a state-of-the-art marina that is expected to lead to an economic boom in this already prosperous town. Other recent developments here include the opening of the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on the very top of the North Ridge, plus the rebranding of the all-inclusive Flamingo Beach Resort as a Margaritaville, inspired by the lyrics and laid-back lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett. Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill. Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, a Comaco hardware store, the Jungle Gym fitness center, and the upscale grocery store Super Massai. Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several dazzling beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Sugar and Danta.

Refunds are determined by cancellation policies, and in addition, SPCR charges a 5% cancellation fee over the total booking amount or a minimum of USD 75 and added 13%, plus any applicable merchant fees. This will be withheld from any refund on a deposit. Refunds will be processed to the credit card on file, or via wire transfer if deposit was made by wire transfer. SPCR recommends travel insurance to cover any unforeseeable contingencies.
