Beach access penthouse (top floor) with access to beach through small beautifully landscaped rain forest reserve with small bridge over this short, but, beautifully landscaped walk to ocean. Macaws, toucans, basilisks (Jesus Lizard), iguanas, and many other birds and animals are seen regularly at the condo and privately owned reserve. This third floor condo overlooks the pool and is walking distance to downtown Jaco and Jacowalk, but, far enough away from the center of town to be safe for families. The condo was built to American and European standards utilizing building materials from Germany and the United States. Macaw Ocean Club has been popular for Europeans, Americans and locals and welcomes people from all backgrounds. A 24 hour guard is onsite at all times to assist people with arrivals and departures.
The owner and wife are resident and permanent citizens (respectively) of Costa Rica. Nindy (Tica and wife of James) is the natural host and will make you feel at home as a guest. She speaks English and Spanish and always loves sharing information about Jaco and Costa Rica. James's hobbies include art and surfing.
Recommended local supermarket: Mas Por Menos Higher end supermarket: Automercado in Herradura (about 12-15 minutes from the Jaco) Recommended area restaurants: Jaco Walk's Graffiti (somewhat pricey) Jaco Walk's Britt Cafe (for breakfast of coffee) Jaco Walk's Tsunmai Sushi (also somewhat pricey) Green Room (variety of food including vegan and vegetarian moderately priced) Mono Verde (Variety of International food, well priced for the quality) Wishbone (Somewhat pricey, but excellent food) Orchidia (Italian food well priced) Recommended National Parks: Manual Antonio near Quepos (1 hour drive) Carrera National Park (View crocodiles from a bridge for free. About 20-25 minutes from Jaco)
