Company information

Our company is an offshoot of the architectural studio ilex design, which owns the entire site of the historic brewery ruins. Our goal is to find a new function for the brewery and its economic independence while preserving its architectural and heritage values. The redevelopment is divided into several phases, where at the beginning we use the best preserved parts of the building. Originally a late Renaissance chateau from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, it was converted into a brewery in 1813. After significant modernisation in 1888, it was one of the most modern breweries in the Czech Republic. After the Second World War it ceased to function and the JZD moved into the building, which closed down after the revolution. Since then, the building has been decaying.

Property information

The reconstructed building stands directly on the premises of the former Rudník brewery. Renting the whole house is an ideal choice for a group of people, families with children, a group of friends or for teambuilding events, seminars or business trips. We offer accommodation in 5 rooms, on the ground floor there is a spacious office and a large lounge. The property has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and separate toilet. The complex on the border of the Giant Mountains National Park is surrounded by beautiful nature, is an ideal starting point for hiking or cycling trips and is located near the most famous ski resorts. All rooms are equipped with bed linen, towels, etc. Upstairs there is a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. On the ground floor there is a 2x toilet, an office suitable for a home office, a lounge with a fireplace and a spacious kitchen. The bathroom has an electric boiler for hot water. Heating is possible only electrically or by fireplace. Electricity consumption for heating is not included in the price. Each kWh consumed is charged at CZK 5 per kWh. With a gentle approach (especially regulating the heating when leaving, in the bedrooms during the day, etc.), the entire building will cover a consumption of 75 -150 kWh per day. The heating price also does not include wood consumption. The price of prepared wood for the fireplace and fireplace is 3.000 CZK/m3. The rental includes an inner yard of 1,375m², where camping is possible.

Neighbourhood information

In addition to a number of trips around the area for sports or other activities, the former brewery itself is interesting. It is a cultural monument of the former Wallenstein castle, which was rebuilt in the 19th century into one of the first steam breweries in Bohemia. At the time it was one of the most modern breweries in the region. Like many other breweries displaced after the Second World War, it faced devastation and probably also total destruction. The current owner decided to partially renovate the former administration building, which now houses accommodation, and with the help of grants and collections is trying to gradually repair the brewery buildings. You too can contribute to the restoration of the brewery with your accommodation. The renovated building is part of the historic ruins of the former Kluge Brewery, which provides stunning scenery but also poses risks. Please do not enter the other buildings of the brewery and respect its condition.
