The flat has been recently renovated while keeping the original features intact. We worked hard to ensure we do not create another white box which is so common around in general.
We love the idea that we can share our place with others. I also stay in the flat with my family when we are visiting, so this is not another rental flat, the only reason why we allow guests in is to help out with some of the running costs, like regular standing charges.
So I really grew up in this neighbourhood. From the moment me and my mum moved to Prague (I was 3years old then) we have been in Prague 3. That is actually quite a large area and we did move into this particular flat when I was around 13. While a lot has changed, the basics stay. The connection to the centre is spectacularly fast. Then there are several higher education establishments, it gives the area a unique and quite young vibe something is always happening around. Currently there is a quite a large redevelopment going on around Jiriho z Podebrad area (where the underground station is located), which is few blocks away. That is only going to improve the area further.
