Welcome to the Rheingau and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley! Completed in 2020, Apartment 541 offers modern amenities along with underfloor heating and a ventilation system that exchanges the air three times a day. The apartment is ideal for two adults and also features a sofa bed in the open-plan living/dining area, allowing a total of 4 people to be accommodated. Children are very welcome and a cot can be set up for infants in the double bedroom free of charge upon request. A high chair and toys are also available. The well-equipped kitchen is stocked with basic commodities – spices, oil, tea and coffee. The outdoor area is not quite finished, however we have now completed the spacious terrace (approx. 14 m²). It is available exclusively for guests to sit back, relax and enjoy the evening sun and views of the River Rhine and nearby castles over a glass of fine local wine.
As a young and cosmopolitan multinational family, we love the flexibility of staying in an apartment when we travel. Having visited to all four corners of the globe, we know just what helps to create a cosy and welcoming home away from home. Apartment 541 is situated exactly at river kilometre 541 on the River Rhine, indicating that it lies 541 km from the river’s source. Peacefully located in an elevated position on a residential road, stunning views can be enjoyed over the breathtaking local scenery. The small island that runs parallel to the small town of Lorch can be seen in the distance and a total of five castles can also be spied from the premises. The extremely popular Rheinsteig hiking trail passes close to the apartment and can be accessed directly via the neighbouring vineyards. Hikes in the idyllic Wisper valley with its Wisper Trails can also begin directly on the doorstep. The apartment affords an optimal location, lying equidistant between the popular local attractions of Rüdesheim and the Loreley, which are both around 15 km away. Two bakeries can be found within walking distance and the nearest supermarket is less than 2 km from the apartment. A selection of restaurants and numerous wineries are just a few minutes’ stroll away. Lorch and Lorchhausen railway stations are both nearby (1.5 km and 1.2 km away respectively).
