Host review score
The apartment is well planed and very fresh since everything is newly renovated (april 2017). The morning light makes it bright, but don't worry, the appartment is equipped with blackout curtains and comfortable beds. Otherwise it is situated on the backside of our house and has its own outside space. In the entrance you can find a Nespresso machine an extra toilet but also a handicap toilet and changing table for toddlers. We also have a small gym in the building which can be used by our rentals. For this we take a separate fee depending of you stay. Please contact us for more information if this is an interest of yours.
We are an internationell family with roots from Germany, France and Sweden. Food traveling, nature and different cultures is close to our hearths. We love to go skiing, take hikes or just walk around in the wine yards nearby. We get wine from the local dealers in the area, but we also take's tours once and a while to Alsace, which is just around the corner from here.
Kandern is a beautiful, picturesque, traditional pottery town with 9000 inhabitant and is situated at the edge of the Black forest (Schwarzwald). We have all the necessary, within 500 meters, such as; restaurants, cafes, bakeries, Italian ice cream, supermarkets, shops, ATM's, postoffice, gas station, library and a smal cinema. Nearby Kandern is an outdoor swimmingpool area, tennis Club and a reputed golf course. You can also enjoy Circuits in Kandern such as; Forest Biotope Path, Geology Trail, Planet Trail, Forest Adventure Circuit For bikers and moutainbikers there are trails and more demanding terrain for cycle tours or excursions with mountain bikes. If you want to relax, go to: Laguna Badeland and Sauna park (Weil am Rhein), Balinea Thermal Baths (Bad Belingen) or Cassiopeia Thermal Baths (Baden Weiler) Or take a day trip to the mountain Hochblauen and Enjoy the beautiful view. And if you are travelling with kids. Go to Europa Park. We promise, the kids will love it. Its only a 50 minutes drive from here. For for more shopping, history, galleries take a trip to Basel, Freiburg, Mulhouse, Zurich, Strasbourg or our favorite town Colmar.
