There are many opportunities for short and long hikes, either in the adjacent national park, on the Eifelsteig trail, in the daffodil fields, or in the High Fens. The centre of the picturesque town of Monschau is also only a 25-minutes walk away. In winter, the unique Christmas market invites you to enjoy yourself, and in summer, the lively, cool alleys. On Advent weekends, there is also a shuttle bus to the Christmas market. The Rursee lake is only 17 km away via forest paths. By car, you can reach the centre of the beautiful city of Aachen with its famous Aachen Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site) in 40 minutes. There are three restaurants in the village, a petrol station, electric car charging facilities and, from the end of the year, a supermarket.
