The starting point is ideal for mountaineering, hiking, cycling and biking. Lake Chiemsee is only about 15 km away with its beautiful royal castle and the Fraueninsel. The Tiroler Ache flows through Marquartstein, smaller lakes such as the Wössner See in Unterwössen, the Zeller See in Schleching and the Reifinger See in Grassau are beautiful bathing lakes and easily accessible by bike. For children there is a lovely playground and a fairytale park with a summer toboggan run. Salzburg with its sights can also be reached by car in approx. 45 minutes (63km). In winter, skiers also get their money's worth, as the Winkelmoos/Steinplatte ski area in Reit im Winkl is only 15 km away. The beautiful location of the Achental leaves nothing to be desired and offers so many leisure activities that everyone is sure to find something to suit them.
