We fulfilled our dream and bought my grandmother's house and converted it into a holiday home for our guests. The house stands alone in a large clearing surrounded by fruit trees and forest. Peace and relaxation is therefore absolutely guaranteed. Every now and then hikers or cyclists come by, there is no engine noise from passing cars. No traffic, no noise and no lights other than the ones you turn on yourself. When you spend your holidays in our house, you are at the perfect starting point to take part in leisure activities in nature: cycling and hiking tours, Nordic walking, trips to nearby places worth seeing, etc. The whole house is decorated in a traditional style to preserve the originality of the building. We had the heat pump that heats the house reinstalled in 2022. There is also a wood stove in the kitchen and we have a pellet stove in the living room for particularly cozy evenings. We still have some plans and will gradually carry out further renovations on and around the house. We have so far been able to complete a small terrace outside, so there is now an opportunity to relax outside in a small seating area. Our cottage can be reached via an unpaved forest path. You should therefore have a car that is easy to drive off tarred roads. In July and August arrivals are only possible on Saturdays with a minimum stay of 7 nights.
We look forward to welcoming you to our house, which we renovated with a lot of passion and effort. My grandmother was happy in her little house until she was 96 years old. We hope that you too can spend a nice time and relax in the peace and quiet on the Schwend. You are welcome to bring your well-behaved pet with you, but separate costs will apply and we ask that you and your pet adhere to the posted house rules.
From our holiday home you can start a great hike on foot. There are numerous hiking trails that lead past in the immediate vicinity and allow you to explore beautiful areas. You can also start directly by bike and cover longer distances that you couldn't reach so quickly on foot.
