Centrally located, you can explore Zeitz on foot from the apartment. Visit the Renaissance castle or explore the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul. For longer excursions, a trip to the Rotkäppchen sparkling wine cellar in Freyburg or to the art collection in Gera is a good option. You can easily reach these by train or car.
And if you don't feel like going on any more excursions, you can relax in your apartment watching your favorite series on Netflix.
