In the heart of the historic city center of Ilfeld, surrounded by the majestic scenery of the South Harz mountains rising up to 600 meters, our family-run guesthouse invites you to linger. Originally built in the 18th century as the town's first school in the characteristic half-timbered style, our house now houses cozy apartments, each lovingly detailed. Named after surrounding mountain or rock formations, each apartment not only promises a restful but also an inspiring break amidst nature. Our apartment "Kaulberg", named after a local mountain formation, offers space for up to 3 people across approximately 45 square meters. Accessible via a few steps, this ground-floor apartment is excellently suitable for guests of all ages. With a comfortably designed living area equipped with flat-screen TV and comfortable seating, and two bedrooms – one with a double bed, the other with a single bed – our guests find a peaceful retreat here. The space is complemented by a well-equipped kitchen, setting the scene for communal meals, and an inviting bathroom. Moreover, free internet via hot-spot is available, and we offer a free parking spot on our locked property upon request. The guesthouse features a lovingly maintained outdoor area, inviting relaxation in the sun, barbecues, or simply enjoying quiet hours. Surrounded by blooming flowers and with views of impressive mountain panoramas, it's the perfect place to unwind. Directly outside the doorstep, some of the region's most beautiful hiking trails begin, inviting adventurous excursions into nature. The supply is also assured, with shopping facilities, a butchery, and a bakery as well as other daily necessities all just a few minutes' walk away.
