Take a trip to Stillinge Strand, where there is an almost southern atmosphere throughout the summer. The golf course and the active trading town of Slagelse are not far away. Slagelse is also home to one of Denmark's largest barracks, and every Wednesday you can see the Guards Hussars riding through town. Also worth a visit are Birkegårdens Haver - a 10,000 m2 adventure garden with animals and a play park - and Kragerup Manor, where many activities are offered. If you are interested in Vikings, it is worth visiting the Viking castle Trelleborg in Hejninge, which is trying to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is very interesting.
