If you want, you can take a refreshing lake bath in the child-friendly Søby Sø, which is close to the vacation home. The cottage is not far from the worth seeing former lignite deposits in Søby, which have left a peculiar natural landscape characterized by high sand hills and deep lignite graves in an area of about 16 km2. By the way, the cottage is located near the two vibrant and good shopping towns of Silkeborg and Herning. In Herning you can, among other things, look at the impressive sculpture 'Elia' by Ingvar Cronhammar and enjoy the magnificent panoramic view over the Jutland expanses. Herning is also known for its interesting museums and exquisite collections of art as well as cultural treasures from the agricultural and textile sectors."
