Ecological holiday house in rural area. No fossil fuels are used. Heating is done with a heatpump and the needed electricity is generated by solar panels. The property used to be a cattle farm and it is surrounded by 5 ha of grassland. We are transforming it into an ecological farm by planting chestnut trees, berries and other plants. In time we also want to add sheep. The guests can walk freely on the property to find out what we are up to :-)
We love gardening and walking in nature. We moved to Galica recently so we are also still discovering this wonderful place !
The surrounding area is rural, mainly grasslands and patches of forest. Many small roads cross it, some asfalted, many are dirtroads, it makes it ideal for walking and cycling. Pazo de Tor is very nearby, it is a museum where you can see how local royals lived long ago. A little further (20 km) is Canyon de Sil, a must see. You can also visit it by boat. Lugo and Ourense are not more than 45 minutes away by car. Due to its centric location it is ideal for any trip and visit to Galicia and especially to the Ribeira Sacra.
