Gone are the days of dark, damp spaces; our modern cave features high ceilings and spacious rooms filled with natural light, thanks to strategically placed windows. Enjoy all the conveniences of contemporary living with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, and a reliable Starlink Wi-Fi connection. To ensure your comfort year-round, we have two log burners—one in the lounge and another in the main bedroom—along with a pellet burner in the kitchen, creating a cozy atmosphere during the winter months. While our interior is contemporary, we’ve preserved many original elements of the cave, showcasing exposed rock areas that reveal fascinating fossils from when the Altiplano region was underwater millions of years ago. This unique blend of history and modernity offers guests a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Step outside to discover various seating areas around the swimming pool and hot tub, perfect for relaxing under the sun. Our dedicated sunset seating area invites you to unwind and soak in breathtaking summer sunsets. We are a Scottish couple from Edinburgh who made the exciting decision to relocate to Spain 16 years ago. Our journey in the beautiful Altiplano region began with our first visit in 2016, where we fell in love with the enchanting charm of cave houses. In 2016, we purchased our first cave home, a former animal shelter that lacked basic amenities. After extensive renovations, which were even featured on Channel 5, we were inspired to create Cuevas Helena. We are dedicated to providing our guests with a unique and comfortable experience in our exceptional retreat. We're also thrilled to share that we will soon be featured on "A Place in the Sun" for our luxury property. We look forward to welcoming you!
Cuevas de Luna is conveniently located just 4 km from the picturesque village of Benamaurel.
