I am a musician and my wife a painter, we have spent years restoring Casa Almelara with all our love and care, having delighted in creating a simple and harmonious space with luxuries. This has taken everything we ever earn! and so we are very happy when people come to enjoy our creation. Our house keeper lives in a house not far and is very lovely and helpful.

Casa Almelara is located minutes from the Sierra Nevada National Park. Enjoy the cultural experience of an Andalusian village (the best preserved in the province), whilst having the peace of a rural retreat. Ideal for RETREATS, lovers of beauty and nature, and FAMILIES. And very popular amongst artists and walkers. It’s got a whole range of outdoors activities in a stunning location, and there are too great bars and restaurants in the valley.

Stunning spectacular location with lovely locals and great activities if you want to be active. Delightful moorish paths for walking anywhere in the valley or beyond in the Sierra Nevada National Park. EXQUISITE beautiful views if you just want to relax! We’ve a website for more detailed information and great tips. Its easy to get around, you can walk to all the nearby villages through the beautiful moorish paths. Or you can drive there in a few minutes. Also there are other valleys and plenty to explore in the national park too.
