Property information

Spectacular house in the village of Montemayor, located in the countryside of Cordoba and 30 km from the capital (20 min by motorway A-45). Brand new house equipped with top quality furniture and installations. The accommodation has 3 floors distributed as follows: - On the ground floor, a nice living room with two comfortable sofa beds, TV with streaming service and a nice table with 4 chairs. There is also a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances, a dining table and a patio. - On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms and a large bathroom with bath and shower. The master bedroom has a double bed, a second bedroom with an extendable bed for two and a third bedroom with two single beds. - Finally, on the first floor, there are two terraces connected by a small landing. The one on the left has a large table and views of the inner courtyard on the first floor. The one on the right and, as the highlight of our accommodation, with stunning panoramic views of the village, the countryside of Cordoba and on clear days Sierra Nevada. It is a magical place to breathe pure nature. Wifi, heating and air conditioning in all rooms.

Neighbourhood information

The village of Montemayor is located in the heart of the Cordoba countryside. Its location on the highest mountain in the area gives this village its name, as well as the nickname of Mirador de la Campiña (Viewpoint of the Countryside). It has a viewpoint with excellent views located at the foot of its imposing castle, known as the Ducal Castle of Frías and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest on 25 June 1985. The castle consists of three towers in a triangular layout around a parade ground, whose names are Mocha, de las Palomas and del Homenaje. The parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and the four hermitages in the village are also worth mentioning: the Ermita de Jesús Nazareno, the Ermita de San José, the Ermita de San Sebastián and the Ermita de la Vera Cruz. As for traditions, the San Acacio Fair is the most important fair in Montemayor. It is held in June (from the 22nd to the 24th) to celebrate the festivities in honour of San Acacio, whose relics were brought from Rome in 1517 by Don Antonio Aranda. Various sporting competitions take place, as well as dances, recreational events and other activities.
