A ground floor apartment nestled on the bank of the Dordogne river, a perfect place to explore, swim, walk or paint. Inside is a kitchen diner, a lounge, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Access to the second bedroom is through the master bedroom so ideal for a couple, family or friends. The private apartment opens onto a large, beautiful garden; a tranquil place to read, meditate, practice yoga or watch the wildlife on the river. Outdoor dining, sunbeds, barbecue and paddleboards available.

I live upstairs with my husband, and our 3 small dogs, who are very friendly. We love having guests visit this beautiful area on the Dordogne. We fell in love with it so much we bought a house here and moved from the UK. We are happy to offer advice about where to visit or places to eat, but will leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace.

Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, nearest supermarket is 4km. There are lots of walks straight from the property along the river, and places to picnic and swim along the way. There is a canoe/kayak hire at 100m from the house, open May to September. Equestrian club 8km, There are several Unesco world heritage sites nearby. The closest heritage site in France is Saint-Emilion 20 mins away, and is the centre for any wine connoisseur. Everyday you can find a market to visit in a nearby town, where local producers sell the freshest seasonal produce and other wares. The kayak centre, which is a 2 minute walk from the house does guided tours for all the family, there is also a restaurant on the quayside, perfect after a few hours on the river. We are lucky to have a fine dining restaurant 2 minutes walk away, using seasonal local produce for you to sample on their beautiful outdoor terrace. The property is located 2km from chateau Soulac and Tourbeille. 1 hr drive from Bordeaux, 1hr30 from Sarlat and the Arcachon. 30 mins from Bergerac airport. You may also wish to visit some of the following locations: Libourne, Marmande, Bergerac and Langon.
