2 Rue de la Tour is a private house in the middle of the historical medieval village of Aniane. The house has 3 floors (ground level plus 2 upper floors) I rent out the 2 upper floors which has a kitchen /living room and bathroom and staircase up to the upper level.The bathroom is spacious and has a full size bath with a shower, chair beside the bath and large mirror over the hand basin.Toiletries and loo paper are provided as are towels and bath mat etc PLEASE NOTE that this house is let for a minimum of 7 nights/1 week only. The upper level has a double bedroom and terrace overlooking the street below. The small and pretty terrace is just at the top of the stairs. It has room for a small table and 2 chairs,and a 2 seater seat and has planted pots and vases. It is a very private terrace.there is a parasol for use in very hot sunny weather.
I have lived in the house for over 20 years, and since I lost my husband Charles in 2005 , I have started to let out the house on the 2 upper floors in the summer months and I can happily live on the ground floor with my own entrance for a couple of months This means the 2 main living floors have their own main entrance off the street and is completely separate from the ground floor. I enjoy hosting immensely and I have a huge garden not far from the house where my guests are welcome to come and relax .There is a minimum stay of 7 nights /1 week .
Aniane is a small but interesting and historical village on the Compostela road, with a beautiful Baroque facaded abbaye. It is in the heart of the Heràult valley which is only about 40 minutes drive or bus ride to Montpellier. There are many beautiful and historical towns nearby and of course the Mediterranean sea is not far.The river Herault is also a lovely river for swimming and kayaking.
