Dear guest, We love our family home because the monumental building is magnificent and still has many authentic details. The former 'hotel Mont Joly', used to be a 5 star hotel and was build around 1900. It is a protected heritage now. It is located nearly in the center of Saint Gervais (3 min walk on an almost flat route to the market square), within walking distance of the ski lifts (10 min) of the Evasion Mont Blanc skiing area (479km) and with a beautiful unobstructed view of the Aravis mountain range. The TMB (Tramway Mont Blanc) station is next door and several hiking trails start at the entrance such as the route to the sources of Saint Gervais in the gorge. We welcome you with all beds provided with sheets, blankets and towels (all included). And of course some practical things for your arrival, such as toilet paper. There is plenty to do in the area. In winter, of course, ski in "Evasion Mont Blanc", where the ski lift located on the other side of the bridge takes you directly. With approx. 479 km you can have a good time. Also a free bus stops directly in front of the building (every 10-15 minutes) and takes you there. In the summer you can enjoy cycling, climbing or walking. 1 walk starts almost next to the building and takes you to the beautiful waterfalls and then the "Les Thermes de Saint Gervais". You can take the Tramway Mont Blanc to make the climb towards Mont Blanc. Along the way you can get out and take various walks. Different walks start in Saint Gervais or nearby. Several with beautiful waterfalls and bridges and there are also great hut tours that you can do, even with children. In the center of Saint Gervais you can stroll around or have a drink and eat at one of the many restaurants. On Thursdays there is a market and many local products are sold. If you arrive by plane or train, there are plenty of buses going up from La Fayet which stop at "le Pont", this is about 300m from the building. You can then walk this or take the smaller free van that stops right outside.
