Au Chiron is a 19th century French farmhouse in the heart of cognac country. Our rear terrace offers guests panoramic views over our lake, sunflowers and farmland to the horizon. Find tranquillity, peace and quiet in the beautiful surrounds of Au Chiron.
We left the UK to start a new adventure in France in 2015. Having holidayed in the Charente Maritime for many years we wanted to make this part of France our home. At Au Chiron we want to share our beautiful 19th century home with our guests and give them a peaceful and relaxing stay. If you need any help planning your journey or your time in the Charente we are happy to help. We look forward to welcoming you to our home. Bienvenue! Tony and Julia
La Rochelle and the beautiful Charente Maritime coastline are just over an hour away by car. The coastal towns and the islands are fantastic places to visit. Alternatively, Cognac and Saintes are less than an hour away. A little further and you will find the historic cities of Poitiers and Angouleme. Closer to home, Au Chiron is less than 10 minutes by car to the villages of Aulnay and Nere where you can find bars, restaurants and supermarkets.
