Bruet Gites is a four cottage complex that is set in four acres of beautiful private parkland, offering plenty of space to kick a ball, play badminton or boules. Located in the peaceful village of Yviers in the south Charente close the Dordogne. Situated 4 km from the market town of Chalais with its Restaurants, bars, shops and the Monday morning market. Auberterre is officially listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France and is within a 15 minute drive, offering a river beach with children's play areas, fishing, swimming, canoeing and picnic areas. Brossac lake beach is 4km and has a lovely Restaurant, water sports and mountain bike routes suitable for all ages and abilities.
Donna and Chris welcome guests from around the globe and have a really good knowledge of the area, with plenty of ideas for those all important days out. Nothing is too much trouble for our guests.
Very peaceful location with walking and cycling on the doorstep. within easy reach of Bordeaux, cognac with its excellent wine tasting tours, Brantome with its beautiful river boat rides, restaurants and cafes. Angouleme with the Circuit des Remparts classic car race held on the third weekend each September. The weekend-long events sees classic cars hurtling around the ancient, twisting roads of the pretty French hill-top town of Angouleme with its stunning cathedral, cobbled streets, cafes bars and restaurants and the beautiful Saint-Émilion. Children will be kept entertained with the numerous river beaches close by.
