The campsite has been established since the early 1970's. We bought it in 2016 and, after carrying out extensive renovations, we were delighted to be awarded with 3 stars in 2018. The campsite has 30 touring pitches plus 8 glamping pitches. We currently have various accommodation options to choose from: from bell tents to safari lodges, yurts to a vintage caravan and a mobile home. This year we were delighted to be featured on Channel 4's programme, "A New Life in the Sun"!

A warm welcome awaits you from owners, Henry and Katherine, at their small family-run campsite in the beautiful Poitou-Charente, renowned as the second sunniest region of France! Whatever level of luxury you prefer, we have glamping accommodation to suit everybody, from bell tents to safari lodges. The 3 star site is a haven of peace and tranquility and has everything you need to enjoy a memorable holiday. Perfect for families with plenty to occupy the children in a safe and secure environment. For the young and young at heart, enjoy a day out at the fantastic FUTUROSCOPE, less than half an hour’s drive from the campsite! Whether you want to chill out and enjoy our many facilities, or explore the local area by bicycle, on foot or by car, we can offer everything you need. Situated in rural France, the campsite gives you the opportunity to escape the crowds and experience real France.

Neighbourhood information

Situated in the heart of rural France, the surrounding countryside is perfect for walking and cycling. From the site, it's only a 30 minute drive to the historic city of Poitiers and the incredibly popular theme park, Futuroscope. Although we are not on the coast (the picturesque port of La Rochelle is a 1.5 hour drive), we have a number of great, family-friendly lakes in the area for swimming and beach fun. Saumur, Chinon and Tours along the Loire Valley are all within easy reach so you can spend a day exploring the wonderful chateaux as well as sampling the wines at the local vineyards. With so much open countryside and so many attractions in the Poitou-Charentes area, the problem will be deciding what to do!
