Chalet la ruche is our home for several weeks of the year. It is in a beautiful setting, quiet location with fantastic views of the mountains. We do hope those who come to stay will appreciate the great comfort and condition the chalet and its amenities provide . The chalet is inspected by Savoie Mont Blanc tourisme and has been awarded 3 keys by Le Label Clevacances. The chalet is situated in the centre of the village only a few minutes walk from the tourist office, shops, ski school and ski lifts.
We love spending as much time as we can here. In winter a mecca for skiing and snowboarding. In summer for cycling (both road and mountain) walking, fishing, swimming and just relaxing in the wild and peaceful surroundings.
Saint Sorlin is a beautiful and authentic Savoyard village situated at a height of 1600 metres on a high sunny plateau above the Maurianne valley at the foot of the Col de la Croix de Fer. A mecca for skiing and snowboarding in winter. Being part of the vast Sybelles ski area there is direct access to over 300kms of pistes. In summer with the exceptional sunshine Saint Sorlin is an ideal resort for family and friends. At the heart of the world's largest cycling area there are plenty of mountain passes and mountain bike trails to choose from. There are outstanding hiking trails and walks from only an hour or two up to several days. Or just relax sitting outside the many bars and resteraunts. Other activities include cannoying, fishing. lake swimming, climbing, pony riding, karting, mountainboarding, paragliding, tennis and so much more.
