Bellefontaine, home to the Pouget family, has been passed down the generations and is now being restored so we can share the experience with you. Book a stay in the luxury chambres d’hotes or in the gites for you, your family and your friends … you might even be lucky enough to bump into Le Baron Pouget himself…

Set in its own 70 hectares of farmland and forest, just 1 hour south east of Paris, it is a wonderland of tranquillity. Our luxury Bed and Breakfast and Gite guests can relax in the heart of the French countryside, immersing themselves in the culture, food and history the region has to offer.

Neighbourhood information

Only an hour from Paris, Epernay for the home of champagne, the burgundy wine region and the Loire valley makes the chateau an ideal place to spend some time and explore. The medieval town of Provins is 45 minutes away, the royal town of Fontainebleau and artistic hubs of Barbizon and Moret are all between 15-30 minutes drive. It is only 10 minutes from Montereau train station. And if you fancy a fairy tale escapade Disneyland is only a 1h30 car journey away.
