Unwind with loved ones at this serene property boasting picturesque rural views. The large kitchen is perfect for dining and socializing. There's ample space for games, relaxation and dining surrounded by farmland. Ideal for cycling and hiking enthusiasts exploring the idyllic French countryside. Barenton, a short drive away, provides all the necessities for a comfortable stay.
Myself and my husband are frequent travellers using airBandB around Europe and the UK. We have met some lovely people and been to some fantastic places. We were fortunate enough to retire early. My husband was a Contracts Manager in the building trade and I was a qualified Social Worker. We moved to France in 2017 and we like to travel when we can. We are grand parents and have animals and a lovely big garden. Our motto in life is that life is a lottery and one should live it as best they can. You will have a local contact available to offer assistance during your stay.
The house is a 2 minute drive from the center of Barenton where you will find a Coccinelle supermarket, boulangerie, bar, restaurant, florist, hairdresser, pharmacy, bank and a market on Sundays. The towns of Mortain and Domfront are 10 minutes drive where you will find more shops and larger supermarkets. See our guide for more details. The house is set in a rural location so most people will need a car. For cyclists, it is a 2 minute drive to the path for the V40 Cycle Route Véloscénic Paris - Le Mont-St-Michel (turn left in Barenton at the carpark, the path is just before the decheterie). Parking at the house is free and off road with space for 5 cars. Parking is easy in the local town of Barenton and most neighbouring towns. You can also reach Flers (half an hour drive) by train from Paris and Brittany Ferries offer services to St Malo or Caen for both cars and foot passengers. The ferry ports are 90 minutes drive from the house. See our guide for more details.
