Your perfect French country retreat! Are you looking to relax in the tranquil countryside with a glass of wine on the terrace? Are you looking to visit the vineyards and restaurants of Burgundy? Are you looking to have an active family holiday? Then Gite de Pete is the place for you! Gite de Pete is a spacious two bedroom, 1.5 bath property, with the ability to sleep up to 6 people. A single bed or crib can be provided to accommodate younger travelers. Gite de Pete is fully equipped to ensure that you are comfortable and entertained, including but not limited to a full kitchen, TV/ DVD player and a toy box, providing entertainment for both the young, and young at heart. Gite de Pete boasts a large, enclosed outdoor space, complete with a terrace, garden, barbecue facilities and ample free parking. We look forward to welcoming you to our spacious Gite de Pete, in the tranquil hamlet of Le Buisson.
Hello (Bonjour), my name is Peter. Together with my wife, Sandra, and our Pug, Jeff, we are the hosts of Gite de Pete. We are both retired and enjoy welcoming guests to our property. During our free time, we enjoy being active in our community and exploring all that the local area has to offer. We look forward to having you stay in our property.
Gite de Pete is centrally located to the following beautiful, surrounding villages and landmarks; - Saint Sauveur en Puisaye (8km drive) - Birthplace of French novelist Colette.   - Treigny (6km drive) - Visit Chateau de Ratilly, a 13th Century medieval castle and Art Center since 1951. - Saint Fargeau (17km Drive) - A beautiful town with a rich heritage. Chateau de St Fargeau holds an outdoor historical night show (Spectacle Historique) during July and August.   - Toucy (22km drive) - The Saturday market was voted one of the best markets in France in 2019 and the most beautiful market in Burgundy in 2018. - Auxerre (44km drive): Charming, historic, medieval town on the River Yonne. - Guedelon (10 minute drive) - As seen on TV - a 13th Century castle has been recently built using medieval methods. - Wonderful vineyards of Sancerre, Chablis, Pouilly and Bailly (AOC Cremant de Bourgogne) are all within a 30 minute drive.   - Resevoir du Bourdon (17km) - supervised swimming (July and August), fishing, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. - Also nearby - hiking, bike rental, archery, horse riding, an animal park, adventure park, local pottery and bungee jumping.
