This is a historical house made of stone built in 1760 by my ancestors. It's located in a very small community just a few minutes walk away from the Ardèche river and 10 minutes walk from the Pont d'Arc. The interior of the house is completely renovated with thermal insulation. The house is cozy and fully equipped. You can enjoy your "apéro" on the terrace!
We are a friendly couple and live in the next door (except during our vacation time). Although we are new to this site this house has been hosting guests over 10 years. We can assist you in French, English, Spanish and Japanese. We hope you enjoy nature while you feel at home.
Chames is our tiny community surrounded by great nature. Tourist's top sites, the Grotte Chauvet-Pont d'Arc (Chauvet Cave) which is world heritage by UNESCO, the Ardèche river and the Pont d'Arc are nearby. There are many caves to visit, kayaking and canoeing points and hiking trails. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants in our small neighborhood during the summer. We are only 6 km to a pretty village of Vallon Pont d'Arc where you can find all kinds of shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy, gas station, organic food shop and supermarket.
