Looking for relaxing holidays in France ? Take a balloon flight at la Gavolerie : Get on board for one hour of unforgettable experience ! You will discover hidden little manors built all along the “Braye” Valley and great views of the local countryside. With a maximum of 4 passengers , your flight will begin at sunrise or at sunset depending on weather conditions. You will either share a light breakfast or an appetizer with local Jasnières wine to finish this adventure ! The magic of “Gavolerie” remains to be discovered. Have a walk through the 70,000 square meadows or the woodland . “La Gavolerie” means “the little valley full of quietness”. The gite is located in the grounds of our XVIIIth century manor-house. This independent house is 10 meters away from the castle.
Isabelle and Stéphane are pleased to guide you through this estate. Isabelle and Stephane are also the gardeners : you will see them working around. As Gilles Renard” gentilhomme” at the court of Louis XIII who created the estate of La Gavolerie, Isabelle is growing saffron bulbs ! Have a look in october : tiny purple flowers on site ! Discover on demand the art of cooking saffron in a charming and modern kitchen inside the Château de la Gavolerie. Why not a dinner in the dining room of the castle ? .
The Château de Courtanvaux is not far away (2miles) : don't the guided tour of this castel in Bessé sur Braye ! You will learn about l'Aiglon, the son of Napoléon the first and a lot more. Gardens, fishing pond and the park is in free access. Activities and exhibitions all around the year. Jardin du Plessis Sasnières : located 25 minutes away from Bessé, discover this wonderful garden. Tea room, store with gardening books, tools, gift shop. Trôo village : go and see the troglodytes houses : only 10 minutes away from Bessé. Really surprising houses in caves. Petrifying cave
