Gite Le Velo Rouge was renovated in 2025. It offers 45m2 of efficient living space with a bedroom on the ground floor and a mezzanine. This is an (on average) 1.5 m high sleeping floor offering just two regular beds with a loft experience. It is ideal for children but also convenient sleeping area for adults (bed lights, electrical outlets, fan, etc). It offers a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances. The living room has a large TV with Netflix and other channels. Air conditioning keeps the room nice and cool, even in the hottest months. There's also a large separate toilet and a full bathroom. In front of the house is a spacious terrace with lighting and electrical outlets.
Destined to be besieged by tourists at almost all times of the year Sarlat is a beautiful, well restored town a few kilometres north of the River Dordogne. The old town, dating from both medieval and renaissance times is a pleasure to visit, especially during the spring and autumn, or early in the morning. If you can catch the early morning sunshine on the yellow sandstone buildings, so much the better. Before setting off for your walk around Sarlat, visit the tourist office which can provide a suggested walking tour to take in the key attractions. The tourist information office is near to the cathedral. The gite is located in a calm location and still only 600m distance from the old town.
