La Glycine is an 18th century farmhouse renovated in the Charente style. La Glycine is part of a group of 4 independent gites situated in a beautifully wooded and flowered park (7000 m2) where there are playgrounds for children and adults (trampoline, table football, ping pong, boules, bicycles free of charge). La Glycine is a gite of 100m2, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a spacious living room of 70m2 (3 sofas), dining room and open kitchen. A bathroom with toilet is located on the ground floor. The gîte is very well equipped for children and babies (high chair, safety gate, baby bath, baby phone, night light, games, toys, books, DVDs etc). On the first floor (12 steps staircase with safety barriers) there are 3 bedrooms (1 bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with 2 single beds or twin beds (please ask us before you come), the third bedroom has 2 bunk beds and 1 baby bed (up to 2 years). Bed rails for children. A shower room (shower, washbasin, toilet) is located on the first floor. Private terrace with BBQ and garden view, not overlooked. Optional end-of-stay cleaning for a fee.
As a lover of travel, and having been enthusiastic for years about living in the Charente Maritime and sharing this experience with people, I have decided to dedicate myself to welcoming guests from all walks of life! I live on the property and am very available to advise you on visits and activities to do in the area and to share a glass of friendship in our beautiful English garden, while respecting the distance of course! About the neighbourhood
We are located in a hamlet in the countryside, between land and sea (30 min from the first beaches) 1 mini-market is only 1.5 km away on foot with a fresh bread and pastry shop and is open every day, of course you will also find hyper markets within 10min drive. Local markets, restaurants, cinema in Pons, Gémozac, Saint Genis de Saintonge. The famous Chateau des Enigmes in Pons (10 min), Jonzac (20min) and its thermal baths and Les Antilles de Jonzac with its water park, its large relaxation area and casino. Saintes and its Gallo-Roman remains (amphitheatre, Arc, Temple) 30min Cognac 40 min Meschers (its beaches: plage des Nonnes, de Suzac) and its troglodyte caves (Régulus, Matatta) 30min Saint Georges de Didonne, Saint Palis sur Mer 40min Royan, La palmyre and its zoo 45 min, Ile d'Oléron, Ile de Ré, La rochelle, 1h Blaye and its citadel 45 min Bordeaux 1h And 150m from the gîte you will find the Doussoux Baillif distillery which won the prize for the best Cognac in the world in 2020 (London competition) As you can see, the Charente Maritime is full of tourist activities ....
