La Petit Maison is for one or two people set back from the road with lovely views towards the forest. It is within easy walking distance of Gouarec, which offers bakery, small supermarket, and a couple of bars and restaurants. The Nantes-Brest canal is a short distance from La Petit Maison, with many kilometers of stress-free off road cycling or walking tracks, and of course Fishing. Day tickets can be purchased on line or from the tourist office. The property is all on one level, with no steps.
There is lots to do in and around Gouarec. There is a little railway that runs to the Abbey of Bon Repos, crazy golf in the park and many peaceful walks. An indoor swimming pool is 100m walk away. There is a Sunday morning Market at the Abbey, from the end of March to the end of October, and a Friday evening Market in Gouarec, where local produce can be found. Check out the pizza takeaway in Gouarec, and three other restaurants. The town of Rostrenen has two major supermarkets. The Abbey is well worth a visit! The beach and facilities (canoes, pedalo's, boat trips, swimming, sandy beach, picnic area, restaurants) are 5km on the Lac de Guerledan at Beau Rivage.
