A quick 1h20 min train ride from Paris, our residence is in the heart of the world famous Burgundy wineries! You will love the local gastronomy (from casual to gourmet), all the family activities, a superb countryside setting, the rich History linked to French Kings with Castles ... The residence first built in 1711 (yes!) has been completely remodeled in 2014 to offers all the modern comforts next to the old charm. You can enjoy the private fenced-in courtyard and garden for your lunches and dinners, kids to play... Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, wine aficionados, families...
French born and raised, now expatriated to Denver Colorado for the past 20 years. Thats' because I live mainly in the USA that the Reservation process can take up to 48h. Still own this wonderful 300 year old family home: I am renting them for short-long term so I can still use it during my French vacations! My local Manager will welcome you, and make sure your whole stay is a satisfying experience. I have been living in the Us for the past 20 years and glad to be able to share this residence with respectful and trustworthy travelers (hence the ID check required for reservation). My bilingual Manager will walk you thru the residence and the grounds to show the inner workings: keys, trash recycling, appliances... Documentation about numerous local activities and map are at your disposal on site.
You will experience a typical French Village: the bakery right across the street, a little convenient store around the corner, a bar-restaurent on the other side of the bridge, the 17th century church at the end of main street... Comfortable and beautiful home-base to stay in or explore the area! - The TGV train station is Montchanin- Le Creusot: 1h20 min from Paris and only 10 min from the residence. - A car is highly recommended to explore the area. - do not miss "la route des Grands Ducs" a 30km road on your way to Beaune, which will make you go thru all the world famous wineries. Stop by and get a wine tasting tour. - the rich and long History of the Dukes of Burgundy: many castles, basilicas, WW1 and WW2 memorials
