Here you are 30 km from the largest volcano in Europe, the Puy Mary (1787 m). Your accommodation was part of a cheese farm dating back to 1929 and was renovated in 2007. Riom is known for its production of Cantal and Bleu d'Auvergne. Salers cows are also raised here and their delicious meat is known all over the world. In addition, every year in July, a delicious gentian liqueur is produced. This flower, gave its name to the picturesque train that takes you to Lugarde through magnificent panoramas on a route dotted with tunnels and viaducts.
