I hope you will find House Number 2 a home from home. It is located just a few minutes walk from the main square. Mirepoix itself is a wonderful place to stay but there are also many beautiful places to visit in the surrounding areas. With the Pyrénées, Toulouse, Carcassonne and the beach all close by this makes Mirepoix a perfect location. Whether it's biking, canoeing, trekking or kayaking there is something for everyone. If you feel like a cosy night in there are many board games in the property as well as a pool table to keep you entertained. I love to sew and crochet so you will also find a sewing machine, scraps of fabric, hooks and wool for any like minded people out there. Mirepoix is full of many restaurants and excellent bakers. There is also a cinema, swimming pool and supermarkets all within walking distance. While I do not meet and greet at the property you can contact me anytime if you have any questions.
Mirepoix is a beautiful medieval town situated in the Ariège. The Cathedral is beautiful and has the second widest Gothic arch in Europe. Mondays are Market Days, full of delicious local produce and artisans from all around. Whilst Mirepoix has everything you need, including a cinema and swimming pool, the surrounding areas have a lot to offer. Lac Montbel is very close by offering water-based activities as well as swimming. You can hire bikes to ride around the lake or even ride up through the Pyrénées. The Château de Foix and Monségur are just a short drive away, as is La Rivière de Souterraine de Labouiche. The list of places to visit is endless and the area offers something for everyone.
