Formerly working as a supply chain manager in the aerospace industry, Fabrice has a wide knowledge of Bordeaux and its region. It has been his region since he met and married a local some 20 years ago. Both travel addicts and now B and B owers since 2008, they know a lot about what makes a stay convenient but charming. Everyting has been entirely thought in details for a well organised and delighful stay as well for couples or families alike.

Welcome to L'Invitation au Voyage, the charming Bordeaux Bed and Breakfast with as many French 18th C flair you would dream of. Located in the old medieval district your visit is entirely feasible just walking. Monuments and museums are right on your door step ! Leave your car in our private parking and stroll down the tiny medieval pedestrian streets, walk along the river, and stop for a glass of wine in the many Wine bar or restaurants around.

Neighbourhood information

Our neighbourhood (Musée d'Aquitaine/Ste Eulalie) is at the crossing of the posh (North and south of), trendy (North East) and poorer downtown markets and students districts (south east). Bordeaux is a safe, laid back and tolerant city : so just enjoy You will be able to witness this mix of population when walking along rue Ste Catherine (main Bordeaux pedestrianised street a block from our place). Whatever you came here for... Restaurants and wines pleasures, fresh local products from the markets, lovers cool retreat, luxury shops, a quiet diner with view, or cocktails and night life ... this is within reach. Tram B, at the bottom of our street is a very much appreciated bonus !! It allows you to reach both Cité du Vin and the University with an easy 15 min ride.
