La Jolie Petit Maison dates back to the 18th century and is set in its own half acre garden with views of the hills. The garden has an allocated space for outdoor dining, is child friendly with a enclosed splash pool and patio area, a play area with swings, a football net and facilities to play badminton. *Please note the splash pool is not heated*
Welcome to 'La Jolie Petite Maison' We are a husband and wife team who have lovingly restored the cottage adding our own personal stamp to make it feel like a home from home. We are excited to welcome all guests from all nationalities aiming to provide a relaxing, comfortable stay to help recharge your batteries. We welcome individuals, couples, families and look forward to meeting you all!
The gite is located in a small, quiet hamlet near Fontenermont on the edge of Saint-Sever forest. The forest has over 1,500 hectares of deciduous beech and oak trees and there are plenty of walking, horse riding and mountain biking trails nearby. Etang du Vieux Chateau, Etang de Coulanges is a lovely spot for picnics and enjoying the scenery. There are a number of nature trails with 18 discovery stations. Discover the chapel of the Hermitage, an 18th century convent currently occupied by Carmelites nuns. Arboretum is an 11th century feudal mound classified as a historical monument and there are a number of lakes nearby such as lake Gast. Near the small village of Gathemo you will discover lake Dathee set in acres of spectacular scenery. There is the option to play golf at Vire golf course and in the summer months bands perform by the lake. Saint-Sever is a 4km drive away where you will find all the local amenities, bars and restaurants. The larger town of Vire is a 10 minute drive away and has lots of shops, bars and restaurants along with a bowling alley and cinama for you to enjoy. We are only 30 minute drive from the seaside town of Granville and the coast. Here you can book ferries to the islands of Jersey and other pleasure trips. The popular tourist attraction of Villedu de Poelle is a 10 minute drive away and is a pleasant place to sit back, relax, enjoy a meal and watch the world go by.
