The advantage of La Métairie is that it is located close to the village in a calm and quiet area. You will be able to drink your morning coffee, take the bread, the newspaper and do some shopping. All the shops, restaurants, hairdresser, pharmacy etc... are 3 minutes away from La Métairie. Two supermarkets can be reached in a few minutes by foot or by car. Also nearby is a large park, with its Roman columns, remains of a temple that marked the entrance to the Roman city. A health course awaits you, and the possibility of a jog for you and your legged friend. The promontory of Saint Maxime, shaded by umbrella pines, dominates the village and hosts a small religious community. The chapel is open all day. It is the starting point for quiet walks or bike rides on the plateau's trails between the fragrant lavender fields.
I have enjoyed my entire professional career as a clinical psychologist helping others to get better. This is how the specific project of La Métairie was born, where every detail has been studied to encourage relaxation and to live a much needed break in our busy lives. I strive to make people feel welcome and expected, attentive to their specific needs and the comfort of their facility. They have a map of Riez and an explanatory brochure to help them find their way around and find what they need. An important choice of brochures allows them to have a panoramic view of the different leisure activities offered, and sometimes the need to think about booking. I am available to provide explanations about the sites they wish to visit, their access, the hours of affluence, the visit itself and its content. A list of walks is proposed by the tourist office, and books are available to help them make their choices.
