We are delighted to introduce our new gîte complex at La Madone that opened in the Spring of 2022. Located close to the Dordogne and Haute Vienne borders we are ideally situated in this beautiful part of SW France. Built in one the old horse stables and newly branded as 'La Petite Ecurie gite' This new and exciting superior gîte accommodation has been exclusively designed to offer a personalised luxurious stay for an adults only experience. Inside the purpose built gite we offer a superior finish to all our fixtures and fittings, ranging from an antique super king sized bed right through to the well-appointed outdoor summer kitchen. A range of quality electrical goods, that include a washing machine, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher are all installed in the kitchenette. A further range of white goods and cooking appliances are housed in the garden summer kitchen which adorns the swimming pool complex area. Sun loungers and parasols are provided in the pool and private orchard areas that guarantee private spaces for those who love to laze in the French sunshine. Being an exclusive couples only facility we can guarantee peace and tranquillity for those looking to get away from it all
My wife and I moved to France in 2020 as part of our retirement plans, we were both very busy executives in the Telecoms and Veterinary industries in the UK. We bought a lovely rural country farm to accommodate our ever-increasing menagerie of animals which includes 3 horses, 7 domestic cats and 3 giant breed dogs. In an effort to share our tranquil lifestyle with others we have created a luxury gite for guests to rent and refurbished it to a high standard. We know all our guests will enjoy this part of France as much as we do and we look forward to meeting you and sharing our knowledge and love of this special experience.
Being in an area of natural beauty and on the Haute Vienne, Correze and Dordogne borders in SW France we have much to offer for anyone wishing to visit this idyllic world famous and charming region. This area is well known to be in easy reach of many historic Chateaux, vineyards, rural walks and even freshwater lakes with swimming and manmade beaches. Within a 15-minute drive you can reach one of Frances prettiest villages that nestles on the edge of a lovely meandering river where you can picnic or eat at a local French restaurant. Slightly further away is the historic equestrian centre of Arnac Pompadour, here you can watch horses compete in many different events throughout the year. If fishing is your favourite pastime, then this is the place to stay. We have associations with many established Carp fishing lakes where you can spend a day trying to catch the fish of your dreams.
