Hello and Bonjour, We moved to France in 2003 with our three children, who all went through the French school system, oh and 3 dogs too! Our house and gardens are here to welcome you to our small corner of the Dordogne and we hope you'll enjoy your time here. Are you celebrating a special occasion? Let us help you to make it memorable, just ask, a milestone birthday, a wedding celebration or just having all the family together in one place, we're here to help.
We are on the outskirts of St. Pierre de Cole and a 10 minute drive from Brantome. Local activities are canoeing, hiking, walking, fishing, VTT (bike riding), all on local rivers and routes, maps are available to take on your walks. Villars boasts some amazing caves (aka Grottes de Villars) which are great for all ages. There are loads of chateaux to visit too, including Hautefort which is absolutely stunning, smaller varieties exist, including a wonderful example in Jumilac Le Grand who also host night tours which are unmissable. If you want more information on historical sites, then we have lots of leaflets in the gite, but we can also help with insider knowledge of course
