L’isolement et le calme sont présents pour un repos parfait. La piscine essentielle ( nous étions présents en période de canicule ). Les hôtes Vanessa, Andrew et leurs enfants sont très agréables, accueillants et très discrets.

Le Peyroutet is a rural farm house built in the early 18th century as part of a monastery in the rural village of Cazaux-Villecomtal. In 2008 it has been renovated to modern standards, while maintaining its historical touches and atmosphere. Nowadays, the gîte measures a spacious, fresh and light 80 square meters, meant for a maximum of four people, of which preferably one or two children. You will find total privacy, as your entrance sits aside from the entrance of the main building. Your gîte at Le Peyroutet used to serve as a cattle barn over a period of more than 150 years; oak beams, thick stone walls and details such as a bread oven are witness of its ancient agricultural history. Thick stone walls and modern materials form a perfect insulation of coolness on hot summer days, while retaining a comfortable warmth during fresh evenings. Integrated in this oasis, is a spacious bathroom with relaxing “rain shower”, a comfortable living area and a well equipped modern kitchenette, all with double doors overlooking a beautiful valley. And besides the separate bedroom there is a mezzanine sleeping area for two children or die hard romantics, staring at bright starry skies.
Le Peyroutet is situated in a scenic rural farming area on the border of Gers and Hautes-Pyrenees. Birds sing the morning to life, deer venture into the fields and butterflies flutter around to go anywhere or nowhere. One can spend a relaxing day at the pool enjoying the summer heat with family and friends or benefit from several activities in the surrounding area. Several indigenous forests and small rivers also make it ideal to take a relaxed forest walk while enjoying the calmness of nature and the stunning views of the Pyrenees mountains.  The Property is situated 30 min drive from Tarbes which hosts the IBOS Shopping Mall with several restaurants, movies, local shops and even an indoor entertainment centre where the family can enjoy a game of bowling or arcade games. Or one can just explore the surrounding old French villages with restaurants serving local cuisine while locals share their hunting experiences of the day. Marciac, where the annual Jazz festival has been hosted in July/August since 1978 is situated just 15 min away and provides for several local restaurants options, a bakery, small grocery shop as well as a fuel station. Biarritz just 2 hours away makes it ideal to spend a family day at the beach or some surfing in the Atlantic waves for the more adventurous.  Lourdes 50 mins drive at the foothill of the Pyrenees mountains is well known for its Notre-Dame de Lourdes, a major Catholic pilgrimage site. The cave system Grottes de Betharram close to Lourdes is also worthwhile visiting for a guided tour during your stay.    In the evenings after an adventurous day one can enjoy a barbecue at the pool and with a glass of local French wine appreciate the magnificent view and sunset behind the natural rolling hills. Ancienne Ecole just 5 min walk from the property on request serves 3 course evening meals using seasonal, local produce. Breakfast can also be arranged through them with homemade bread, preserves, jogurt and free range eggs.
