We are a French-German winemaking couple and love to share our passion for wine and vines during wine tastings in our cellar!
Couffoulens means confluent, the confluence. Our little stream, the Lauquet, flows into the river Aude. Our village is small and quiet. Unfortunately, there are no shops, but there are children's playgrounds and a brand new large skate park. A pump track. Pétanque and table tennis courts, a football and basketball ground and lots of tables for picnics. There is a baker, grocery store and pharmacy in the neighbouring village of Leuc, just 2 km away. It takes 2 minutes by car and 10 minutes by bike through the vineyards. Carcassonne and the beautiful Cité are 10 km away. They are easily accessible by car or our little suburban train, the Micheline. You can also cycle through the vineyards.
