Behind Les Pénates Bordelaises are Maria Luisa, a concert pianist and orchestra conductor, and Sylvain, an entrepreneur passionate about travel and hospitality. They created this guesthouse as a peaceful retreat combining elegance, privacy and authenticity. Every detail was carefully designed: 5★ bedding, L’Occitane toiletries, refined décor, air conditioning and breakfast with local ingredients. Hosts are happy to share their favorite local spots – the Ro’cha fine-dining restaurant, Mi Cielo pastry shop, POC La Cave wine bar, or the artisanal cheese shop just down the street. Please note: there is no daily hotel-style cleaning service; light housekeeping is provided every three days to ensure comfort and privacy. Everything here is designed to make you feel truly at home.

Les Pénates Bordelaises is an elegant guesthouse located in a quiet residential area of Bordeaux, just a short walk from Parc Bordelais. Each room features premium comfort: 5★ bedding, air conditioning, modern bathroom and smart TV. Guests enjoy free access to the lounge, garden and outdoor pool, heated from mid-May to Mid-September. Outside this period, water can be too cool for swimming; Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. or earlier on demand, with fresh local products. Housekeeping, towels and toiletries are refreshed every three days. Self check-in with secure access code makes late arrivals easy. A serene, elegant retreat blending hotel-level comfort with the warmth of a private home.

The Parc Bordelais district is one of Bordeaux’s most elegant and peaceful neighborhoods. It offers a perfect balance of greenery and proximity to the city center — the Tram D (Barrière du Médoc stop) is just a 5-minute walk away. Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance: local cheese shop Fromagerie des Loups, Casa Faiola Italian deli, Calix brasserie, Ro’cha gourmet restaurant, Mi Cielo pastry shop, and wine cellar POC La Cave. The park itself (300 m away) is ideal for walks or morning runs among the trees and lake. No private parking on-site, but public, secure car parks are available 50 m away (Laharpe) and 200 m away (Libération). Free street parking can sometimes be found within 500 m. A calm, authentic Bordeaux setting — perfect for exploring the city at your own pace.
